Wood Machinist

Main Aspects of the Role:

* Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company specifications

* To work efficiently and safely

* Using machinery, i.e. Dimension Saw, Mitre Saw, Spindle Moulders, Dovetailers, Tenoners, CNC’s etc

* Preparing components to achieve the high standard of finish required

* Working to achieve set daily/weekly output targets

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

* Ability to work with others

* Able to work to a high standard efficiently

* Ability to prioritise work load

* Able to work from written instructions, drawing etc.

* No remedial work on furniture produced

* No accidents through negligence

* Ability to be a flexible member of the team

Primary Person Specification:

* Preferably experience gained within the furniture industry

* A good knowledge of and the ability to use hand/power tools common to furniture manufacturing

* Able to produce furniture components from written instructions along with manufacturing drawings
