Site Manager – Retail Park Construction (9 wks project)

Our client is a well-established Retail and Commercial Contractor delivering projects across the UK with values of up to £15 million. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction works on a retail park development project based in Strathkelvin.

This role requires a proactive and organised individual with strong leadership skills who can effectively manage site operations, subcontractors, and health & safety compliance to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing day-to-day site operations on a busy retail park construction project

* Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are carried out in line with the project programme

* Maintaining and enforcing high standards of health & safety compliance on site

* Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings

* Monitoring progress and reporting updates to the Project Manager and wider project team

* Ensuring works are completed to required quality standards, specifications, and deadlines

* Managing logistics, deliveries, and site coordination within an active retail environment where required

* Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction projects, ideally within retail or commercial developments

* Valid CSCS Card

* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

* First Aid at Work Certificate

* Asbestos Awareness

* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

* Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines
