Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

Location: East Sussex & South East
Salary: £35,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent

An established M&E Building Services contractor is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of mechanical installation projects across commercial and industrial environments.

The role will involve working alongside project managers and site teams to ensure mechanical works are delivered to specification, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

* Supporting the delivery of mechanical building services projects

* Reviewing mechanical drawings and technical specifications

* Coordinating mechanical installation works on site

* Assisting with procurement of materials and subcontractors

* Attending site meetings and liaising with clients, contractors and consultants

* Ensuring quality, compliance and health & safety standards are maintained

Requirements

* Experience within mechanical building services (HVAC, plumbing, pipework etc.)

* Experience supporting or delivering mechanical projects

* Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Relevant mechanical qualification or apprenticeship preferred
