Senior Fire Engineer

I am working with a UK-leading and long‑established built environment consultancy delivering multidisciplinary property and construction services across the UK. This consultancy works on some of the most prolific projects in the UK and works with market sector leaders from global sports brands to social housing. This company has a key plan for growth and is looking to progress people through the ranks of the business.
Your new role
As the Senior Fire Engineer, you'll lead and support fire engineering design solutions across diverse sectors. You'll manage multiple projects from inception to delivery, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards and codes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work in a range of sectors, from residential buildings to global sports projects.
Manage multiple engineering projects from inception through to delivery in support of fire safety standards and codes.
Support the delivery of project work within time and cost budgets.
Keep up to date with regulations and legislation.
Developing fire engineering solutions on projects and ensuring the fire engineering strategy delivered.
Assess fire-related risks in projects and working collaboratively to mitigate where possible.
Review and comment on the quality of fire safety related installations.
Undertake tenders for new work.
Prepare reports, take part in design team meetings, and liaise with client representatives as required.What you'll need to succeed
Engineering degree, preferably fire engineering or alternatively, a postgraduate qualification in fire engineering (Applicants with different backgrounds also considered).
Demonstrate a strong record of successfully delivering fire safety projects – experience in other sectors strongly considered.
Fire modelling experience will be beneficial.
Experience outside the building sector would be advantageous.
Able to work towards Chartered Fire Engineer status.
A flexible approach to the working environment.
Willingness to travel will be a positive advantage.
