We are currently seeking an Envelope QA / Package Supervisor to support a major external envelope remediation project in Plymouth.
This role sits with a Principal Contractor delivering external envelope replacement works as part of a fire safety improvement programme funded in part by the Building Safety Fund. Due to the nature of the project there will be a strong focus on quality inspections, compliance and maintaining the “golden thread” of information throughout the works.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing subcontractor installation works, carrying out inspections and ensuring works are delivered to the required safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising and coordinating external envelope remediation works including cladding, render systems and roof coverings
Carrying out site inspections and quality checks on subcontractor installation works
Identifying and reporting non-conformities and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
Managing and logging inspections through digital QA systems such as Procore, Fieldwire or similar platforms
Reviewing design drawings, RFIs and technical documentation
Coordinating scaffolding and access requirements ahead of works
Liaising with residents and occupants during the works programme
Ensuring works comply with fire safety and building safety requirements
Candidate Requirements
Experience working on construction projects with a main contractor, ideally involving external envelope, façade, roofing or remediation works
Strong IT skills and experience using digital construction platforms such as Procore, Fieldwire or similar QA systems
Good organisational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage inspections
A proactive and detail-focused approach to quality assurance and compliance
CSCS Card – Essential
SMSTS or SSSTS – Essential
First Aid – Preferred
