The business operates through a number of regional operational divisions, supported by specialist internal departments. Their experience and capability enable them to successfully deliver projects ranging from public sector buildings to large-scale residential developments.

The Role

Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of social housing refurbishment projects.

This role will involve leading the operational delivery of multiple refurbishment schemes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the successful delivery of social housing refurbishment projects from inception through to completion.

Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure projects meet programme, budget, and quality targets.

Lead and manage project teams including site managers, subcontractors, and support staff.

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, contractual obligations, and industry standards.

*

Monitor project performance, budgets, and risk, implementing corrective measures where required.

*

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and project stakeholders.

*

Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiency across projects.

*

Provide leadership, mentoring, and development support to project teams.

*

Prepare and present project progress and financial performance reports to senior leadership.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in an Operations Manager or senior leadership role within construction.

*

Strong background in social housing refurbishment, regeneration, or planned works programmes.

*

Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.

*

Strong commercial awareness and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

*

Thorough understanding of health & safety and construction industry regulations.

*

Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
