Senior Planner

If you’re a Planner/Senior Planner who wants real ownership of programmes rather than simply updating someone else’s schedule, this is a role where your work genuinely shapes how major construction projects are delivered. 

You’ll be trusted to build, manage and drive project programmes from bid stage through to live delivery, working closely with project teams and supply chain partners to ensure projects run efficiently, risks are managed early, and progress stays aligned with the critical path. It’s an opportunity to work with a well-established Tier 1 contractor while building your influence across major projects.

Your responsibilities as Planner/Senior Planner

Develop bid-stage programmes by assessing site constraints, build complexity, client requirements and available design information
Support the preparation of tender programmes with logic-linked sequencing and supply chain input
Manage the transition of programmes from bid to contract stage, including assumptions, resources and productivity outputs
Ensure contract programmes align with design, procurement, manufacturing and installation requirements
Monitor project progress against the critical path and analyse float usage across client and internal programmes
Produce programme updates and progress reports for project teams, internal reviews and client reporting
What we’re looking for in a Planner/Senior Planner

Previous experience producing and maintaining construction programmes using critical path analysis
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, procurement stages and commercial processes
Practical experience using Elecosoft Asta Powerproject and Microsoft Office tools
Understanding of productivity outputs, resource analysis and first principles planning
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
