Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Are you looking to step into a Quantity Surveying career with a leading specialist contractor? We're working with an established specialist contractor that delivers complex building envelope systems, fire-wall construction and temperature‑controlled environments for major projects across the UK.

Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of high‑spec projects, they are now seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

In this role and working closely with experienced surveyors and project managers, you will support the commercial delivery of a varied and interesting project portfolio. Responsibilities include:

Valuing and assessing completed works, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Assisting in the preparation of final accounts, including gathering substantiation and issuing contract notices
Liaising with main contractors regarding instructions, variations and commercial queries
Reviewing contract documentation and highlighting clauses requiring clarification or amendment
Supporting the estimating team with pricing variations and contributing to tender preparation
Helping maintain robust commercial controls and ensuring projects remain profitable and well-administeredFor this role the client is seeking a candidate who ideally has some Quantity Surveying or Estimating experience within the construction sector. You will have a Construction related degree or HND or be part way through your course.
