We’re searching for a Building Surveyor with a strong technical grounding and a flair for project delivery. If you enjoy variety, responsibility and working closely with clients to deliver meaningful results, this is one not to miss.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in the project team, contributing to everything from scheme development to tender packages, funding applications, site inspections and contract administration. Expect a mix of design involvement, technical reporting, client liaison and hands‑on project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop project briefs, designs, specs and tender documents
Support funding bids (SCA / CIF) with surveys, research and technical input
Carry out site visits, H&S reporting, minutes and contract admin duties
Assist with core building surveying tasks including condition surveys, defect analysis and RICS survey reporting
Coordinate documentation to keep projects running smoothly
Work collaboratively across technical teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
2–3 years’ experience in a project surveying / project management role
Strong client‑facing communication skills
Ability to work proactively, manage deadlines and produce high‑quality documentation
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (including MS Project)
Full UK driving licence + DBS
Highly organised, professional and confident working with clients, contractors and consultants
Desirable:
Professional qualifications (RICS, CIOB, NEBOSH, IOSH, Fire, etc.)
Experience supporting junior team members
PRINCE2 / APM or similar project management credentials
Previous client management exposure
