The Role

You’ll form part of an experienced team delivering major public‑sector new‑build projects valued between £50m and £100m. Working collaboratively with the Project Manager and the wider delivery team, your focus will be on ensuring the financial success of each project through robust cost control, accurate forecasting, and commercial leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

Procuring and managing subcontract packages from enquiry to final account.

Preparing tender documentation, analysing quotations, and making recommendations.

Managing subcontractor payments, valuations, and variations.

Supporting main contract valuations and monthly cost reporting cycles.

Preparing cost and cashflow forecasts, margin projections, and risk assessments.

What You’ll Bring

Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role with a main building contractor.

Degree qualified or working toward MRICS/MCIOB (or equivalent professional recognition).

Strong commercial acumen and confidence in managing large‑scale construction budgets.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Word; familiarity with BIM or digital measurement tools advantageous.

A proactive, team‑oriented mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to complex, high‑profile projects.
