Site Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor delivering major marine and flood prevention projects across the Scotland . 

In this role, you will play a key part in the successful delivery of technically challenging infrastructure schemes that protect communities and critical assets from coastal and river flooding. You will work alongside project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Setting out and surveying works in accordance with design drawings and project specifications.

Ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with project method statements and risk assessments.

Liaising with the site management team, subcontractors, and designers to resolve technical queries.

Managing quality assurance processes including inspections, testing, and record keeping.

Producing and maintaining accurate site documentation including as-built records.

Supporting programme delivery by coordinating site activities and monitoring progress.

Requirements

Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Proven experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

Experience in marine, coastal, flood defence, or heavy civil engineering projects is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of setting out techniques and surveying equipment (e.g. GPS, total station).

Good understanding of health, safety, and quality standards on major infrastructure projects.

CSCS card (essential).

Location & Travel

This role will involve working on projects across Scotland . Candidates must be willing to work away from home when required, as project locations may change depending on programme needs.
