A modern, fast-growing M&E Contractor in Sussex is looking to recruit a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical or building services background who is looking to develop their career in mechanical estimating. You will work within a small, supportive team and receive direct mentorship from the Mechanical Director, gaining hands-on experience with estimating processes, pricing, and specifications across a range of M&E projects.

The Role

Assisting with the preparation of mechanical estimates and tenders

*

Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents

*

Supporting the pricing of mechanical building services systems (HVAC, pipework, plumbing)

*

Obtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations

*

Assisting in compiling cost plans and tender submissions

*

Working closely with the Mechanical Director and estimating team

Requirements

*

Mechanical background (Building Services, HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or similar)

*

Interest in developing a career as a Mechanical Estimator

*

Knowledge of mechanical processes, pricing or specifications would be advantageous

*

Strong attention to detail

*

Good communication and organisational skills

*

Ability to work well within a small team environment
