A growing and well established construction consultancy is seeking a motivated building surveyor to join their expanding team. This opportunity is suited to a building surveyor looking to develop strong technical experience across refurbishment, cladding remediation and building safety projects. The successful building surveyor will gain exposure to a wide range of sectors while developing core building surveying skills within a structured consultancy environment. This role offers clear progression and hands on project involvement for a building surveyor at an early stage of their career.

Working across a range of refurbishment, fire safety and remediation projects, the consultancy delivers services across multiple property sectors. The Building Surveyor will work closely with experienced surveyors and project teams, gaining practical exposure while contributing to a growing project pipeline.

The business provides structured training, mentoring and ongoing professional development to support career progression within building surveying.

The Role

As the building surveyor you will support senior surveyors and project teams across a variety of professional and project instructions.

The role will include:

* Assisting with building surveys, defect investigations and condition reports
* Supporting the preparation of specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation
* Assisting with the delivery of small scale projects while supporting larger schemes
* Contributing to refurbishment, fire safety and cladding remediation projects
* Attending client meetings, site inspections and contractor progress meetings
* Developing knowledge of building legislation, contracts and the Building Safety Act
* Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including cost, design and fire specialists
* Supporting general project and administrative duties

The Building Surveyor?

You will be an organised and motivated individual with an interest in developing a long term career in building surveying. Applications from non construction related building surveyor backgrounds will unfortunately not be considered.

The Building Surveyor must have:

* A RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying or a related property discipline
* Interest in progressing towards professional accreditation
* Understanding of building construction, materials and maintenance principles
* Awareness of current building regulations and industry standards
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Competent using Microsoft Office with an interest in learning technical software such as AutoCAD or Revit
* Interest in sustainability and compliant building delivery
