A Rigger NVQ Level 3 on a UK-based Energy from Waste (EfW) site assists with lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials. Key responsibilities include:
– Lifting and Rigging: Assisting with planning and executing lifts, using rigging equipment (e.g., slings, chains)
– Safety: Following site safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and wearing PPE
– Equipment Checks: Inspecting and maintaining rigging equipment
– Teamwork: Collaborating with crane operators, slingers, and other teams
– Compliance: Ensuring work meets UK regulations (e.g., Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998)

Typically requires:
– NVQ Level 3 in Rigging or Lifting Operations
– CPCS or NPORS certification
– Experience with rigging and lifting operations
– Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
