Section Engineer

Section Engineer – HS2 (BBV Sublot 2A & 2B)
Location: Midlands (Stoneleigh to Hampton in Arden)
Contract: Minimum 12-month contract (CIS available)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to support delivery on the HS2 BBV Sublot 2A & 2B works across the Midlands corridor. This role will focus on drainage and associated infrastructure packages, ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple active work fronts.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage drainage packages, including surface water drainage, culverts, carrier drains, attenuation systems, and associated infrastructure works.

Carry out setting out and ensure all works are delivered in line with engineering drawings, specifications, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

*

Perform QA checks and maintain quality standards across site activities.

*

Coordinate subcontractors and supervise daily site operations to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

*

Maintain accurate as-built records and contribute to project documentation.

*

Support programme delivery by ensuring works are completed on time and to specification.

Requirements:

*

Previous experience working on HS2 projects is essential.

*

Proven track record delivering drainage and infrastructure packages.

*

Relevant Civil Engineering qualification (HNC / HND / Degree).

*

Valid CSCS card.

*

Strong experience using survey equipment (Trimble and/or Leica).

*

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

*

Excellent organisational and communication skills.
