Planner
A well-regarded tier one main contractor based in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Construction Planner. This is a great opportunity to work on a range of high-profile projects across different sectors including education, commercial, public sector, and more.
As Planner, you will play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of projects from tender stage through to completion. Working closely with project teams, you’ll develop robust programmes, identify risks, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
You will be responsible for (but not limited to):
– Developing detailed tender and contract programmes using planning software.
– Liaising with commercial, operational and pre-construction teams to ensure projects are planned practically and efficiently.
– Supporting bid teams in improving the quality and preparation of tenders.
– Creating and presenting schedules of works.
– Evaluating ongoing projects to provide recommendations and mitigation strategies.
– Ensuring project programmes comply with regional standards and project strategy.
Requirements:
– Proven experience working as a Planner within a main contractor environment.
– Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methodologies, and programme development.
– Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
– Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
