Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager (TSM) to support the delivery of high‑quality commercial fit out and refurbishment projects across Central London and the Home Counties. Working on projects ranging from £50,000 to £1 million+, this role is ideal for a technically strong, people‑focused professional who thrives in a fast‑paced building services environment.

Our client specialises in delivering agile, design‑led fit out and refurbishment solutions for commercial offices – and we're looking for someone who can bring both technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to their high‑performing team.

Role Overview

As a Technical Services Manager, you will oversee all aspects of MEP services across multiple small‑works projects. You will play a key role in managing the design, coordination, installation, commissioning, and handover of building services to ensure each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the company's high standards.

Working closely with project managers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients, you will act as the technical lead throughout the lifecycle of each project, ensuring compliance, quality, and seamless service integration.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the design, coordination, installation, and commissioning of MEP services on commercial office fit out projects.
Ensure full compliance with building regulations, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.
Provide technical leadership across all building services disciplines, including:
Mechanical & electrical services
Fire alarms and sprinklers
Security systems
AV systems
Voice & data
Lifts and specialist systems
Collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges efficiently, without impacting programme or quality.
Conduct site inspections, produce progress reports, and ensure quality control throughout.
Manage procurement processes and deliver value engineering solutions to optimise cost and performance.
Lead commissioning activities and manage the technical handover to ensure full operational functionality.

Minimum Requirements

5-7 years' post‑graduate experience in building services or technical services management.
Experience working for a main contractor (preferred).
Strong commercial office fit out background.
Broad and in‑depth knowledge of all building services disciplines.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a small‑works environment.
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills – a natural collaborator.
