Senior Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks & Civils

Location: North East (Peterlee and surrounding projects)
Salary: Circa £65,000 + Company Car

We are working with a growing groundworks and civil engineering contractor expanding across the North East, with a strong pipeline of commercial projects.

They are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage multiple groundwork packages across sites in the region.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing 2–3 projects at any one time, typically valued between £3m–£7m, working on a remeasure basis for main contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and submission of monthly valuations

*

Cost reporting and monthly CVR reporting

*

Managing variations and final accounts

*

Commercial management of labour, plant and materials

*

Liaising with site teams and main contractors

*

Attending monthly commercial meetings

Requirements

*

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within groundworks or civil engineering

*

Strong understanding of remeasure contracts and valuations

*

Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

*

Commercially astute and able to manage packages independently

*

Full UK driving licence
