Damp & Timber Surveyor – South London & South East (Surrey / Brighton / Surrounding Areas)
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Damp & Timber Surveyor to join our client's busy team, covering South London and the wider South East region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated surveyor who enjoys a balance of technical work and client interaction, with the chance to maximise earnings through uncapped commission.
We welcome applications from candidates based across the South East, including Croydon, Guildford, Basingstoke, Reading, Portsmouth, and surrounding areas.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for carrying out surveys across residential and commercial properties, diagnosing damp and timber issues, and recommending effective remedial solutions.
This is a field-based role where your expertise, attention to detail, and ability to build trust with clients will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct damp, timber, and waterproofing surveys
* Accurately diagnose defects and recommend remedial works
* Produce clear, professional reports and quotations
* Manage client relationships from survey through to project approval
* Confidently present solutions and convert surveys into sales
* Liaise with operatives, suppliers, and internal teams
* Provide technical support where required
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
About You
* Proven experience in damp proofing, timber treatments, and waterproofing
* Strong communication and client-facing skills
* Commercially aware with the ability to convert opportunities into work
* Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
* Highly organised and detail-focused
* Competent with surveying tools and reporting software
* Full UK driving licence
Salary & Benefits
* £35,000 basic salary
* 5% uncapped commission (high earning potential)
