A growing multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to hire an Intermediate – Senior Energy & Sustainability Consultant to join its expanding sustainability team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in building physics and energy modelling (IES-VE) who is looking to step into a more client-facing, project-led role, while also gaining exposure to wider sustainability services such as Whole Life Carbon and BREEAM.

The Opportunity
You'll be working across a diverse portfolio of projects, including defence, healthcare, education, residential and commercial developments, supporting schemes from early-stage concept through to delivery.

A key part of this role is involvement in defence-sector projects, meaning you'll need to either hold or be eligible for SC Clearance.

Alongside this, you'll have the opportunity to:
Take ownership of your own projects
Work directly with clients and design teams
Influence design decisions through building performance analysis
Broaden your skillset across sustainability disciplines
What You'll Be Doing

Delivering building physics and energy modelling using IES-VE
Producing Part L compliance models, energy strategies and performance analysis
Carrying out overheating assessments (TM52, TM59, Part O) and thermal comfort studies
Supporting the development of low-carbon and net zero design strategies
Contributing to Whole Life Carbon assessments and sustainability certifications (where applicable)
Attending and contributing to design team and client meetings
Managing your own workload across multiple projects
Supporting and mentoring junior team members (at senior level)
What They're Looking For

Experience in a building services or sustainability consultancy
Strong technical background in building physics and IES modelling
Good understanding of UK regulations (Part L, TM52, TM59, Part O)
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and design teams
Comfortable working across multiple projects and deadlines
Eligible for, or currently holding, SC ClearanceDesirable (but not essential):

Experience with Whole Life Carbon / OneClickLCA
Knowledge of BREEAM or other certification schemes
Experience working on public sector or defence projects
