Senior Estimator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to join our client in York. The company are a main contractor who work on new build construction, refurbishment and interior fit out projects. They have a professional and friendly pre-construction team which the successful applicant will join. The company has been successfully trading for over 100 years and have an excellent reputation. They provide exceptional service levels with over 80% of their business coming from repeat clients.

As a Senior Estimator, you will be working on a range of projects across the New Build Construction and Refurbishment sectors with project values ranging from £500k to £10 million. You will be the Lead Estimator in the company’s construction division, and you will work as part of a larger estimating team, giving the opportunity to mentor and supervise others. This company is well known for its training, support and investment they put into their staff.

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

* 5+ years of estimating experience

* Experience working for construction main contractors on new build and refurbishment projects

* Previous experience as a Senior Estimator (preferred)

* Strong communication skills

* Commercial acumen

* Full UK driving licence
