Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure

📍 Beverley, East Yorkshire

Linear Recruitment are working with a leading principal contractor to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a brand-new highways scheme in Beverley.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their commercial career within a major infrastructure project. You’ll support the commercial team in delivering cost control, reporting and subcontract management across the scheme.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting a safe and compliant working environment

Assisting with cost reporting and value management using commercial systems (e.g. Oracle)

*

Reviewing expenditure and supporting cost analysis

*

Assisting with subcontract procurement, including tendering and evaluation

*

Preparing subcontract documentation and supporting change management

*

Administering subcontract packages, including valuations and variations

*

Supporting payment applications and maintaining accurate site records

*

Assisting with cost-to-complete forecasting and reporting

About You

*

Experience or placement within a commercial/construction environment

*

Understanding of standard forms of contract

*

Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, and systems such as CEMAR/Oracle)

*

Good communication and stakeholder management skills

*

Solid understanding of construction processes

*

Strong organisation and time management skills

*

Relevant degree or working towards one (or equivalent experience)

*

Exposure to infrastructure or civil engineering projects (desirable)

*

CSCS card (appropriate level)
