Temporary Site Supervisor

Fawkes & Reece are currently recruiting for an experienced Solar Farm Site Supervisor to join a major renewable energy project near Chippenham. This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the UK’s leading construction companies on a large-scale solar farm development.

The Role
This position is available for an immediate start and will run through to the end of June, with potential for further opportunities for the right candidate.

As Site Supervisor, you will be working on a solar farm project involving a combination of groundworks and M&E components, including bulk earthworks and trenching. Due to the nature and location of the site, you must be comfortable working in a hands-on, outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily site operations and ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently

*

Supervise groundworks activities, including earthworks and trenching

*

Manage multiple subcontractors on site

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations

*

Communicate effectively with the wider project management team

*

Monitor site progress, budgets, and performance targets

*

Maintain site records, reports, and documentation

*

Lead by example and enforce site procedures and standards

Requirements

*

Previous experience working on a solar farm project

*

Valid SMSTS qualification

*

First Aid Certificate

*

Gold CSCS Card

*

Experience in civils, groundworks, roads, and trenching

*

Supervisory experience in a similar role

*

M&E experience (advantageous)

*

Basic IT skills (MS Office, reporting, spreadsheets)

Day rate: £300 (Umbrella CIS)
