An established and growing cost management consultancy based in central Manchester is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. Operating across the health, education, commercial and community sectors, the business has built a strong pipeline of secured work since its formation, and continues to expand across the North West. Notably, around 85% of current projects sit within the healthcare sector, offering excellent exposure to technically challenging and meaningful schemes.
The Role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the delivery of both pre- and post-contract cost management services across a varied project portfolio.
You'll be working closely with experienced senior professionals, gaining hands-on exposure across the full project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities as Assistant Quantity Surveyor include:
Assisting in the delivery of projects from inception through to completion
Supporting the preparation of detailed cost estimates and cost plans
Assisting in the preparation of tender documentation
Attending client, design team and site progress meetings
Supporting the preparation of financial reports and cashflow forecasts
Checking valuations and assisting with cost control processes
Working across projects in healthcare, education and commercial sectorsAbout You
Degree qualified (BSc) in Quantity Surveying
Minimum 2+ years' consultancy experience
Currently working towards MRICS chartership
Experience or interest in healthcare projects is highly desirable
Good working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licenceWhat's On Offer

Office-based: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
