Salary: 27k – 32k DOE + Benefits
Professional asbestos management consultancy is currently looking for a qualified asbestos lab analyst to join their Essex's team. Applicants will come from a strong asbestos lab background and will have practical experience carrying out the analysis of asbestos bulk samples in line with UKAS guidelines. Candidates will be based in reasonable commute to the lab, locations considered include; Basildon, Southend-on-Sea, Canvey Island, South Benfleet, Wickford, Billericay, Chelmsford, South Woodham Ferrers, Grays, Tilbury, Hornchurch, Romford, Witham, Maldon, Burnham-on-Crouch, Erith, Dartford, Gravesend, Sidcup.
Experience
– BOHS P401.
– Practical experience working with an asbestos lab.
– Working knowledge of UKAS guidelines.
– Experience calibrating and maintaining lab equipment.
– Experience using PLM and stereo microscopy methods.
Role:
– Analysing asbestos bulk samples for the for the presence of asbestos.
– Carrying out all work to professional standards including the company's internal procedures, HSG guidelines and UKAS standards.
– Participating in internal quality assurance analysis schemes and AIMS.
– Maintaining a clean and tidy lab at all times.
– Calibration of all laboratory equipment.
– Results and entering on to internal databases.
– Sending asbestos analysis reports to relevant department.
