Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor | Regional Contractor | Yorkshire / Midlands | £50k – £55k + Package

I’m working with a long-established regional contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor due to continued growth and a strong forward order book across Yorkshire and the Midlands.

This is primarily an office-based role with regular site visits, offering the chance to take real ownership across a variety of projects within a close-knit, well-respected business.

The Role

You’ll support the commercial delivery of projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with both office and site teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing day-to-day commercial activities across multiple projects

Supporting subcontract procurement, including tendering and package management

Preparing and managing valuations, variations, and payments

Assisting with CVRs, cost reporting, and forecasting

Supporting final accounts and project close-out

Visiting sites regularly to liaise with delivery teams and monitor progress

Building strong relationships with clients and the supply chain

What You’ll Need:

4+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a UK main contractor

Experience delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, or education

Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts

Comfortable in an office-based role with regular travel to sites across Yorkshire and the Midlands

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Must have the right to work in the UK
