CPCS Slinger Banksman

Danny Sullivan Group are currently recruiting for an experienced CPCS Slinger / Banksman to work on a long-term construction project based at Devonport Naval Base.

This is a secure site, therefore all candidates must be able to provide a minimum of 3 years’ continuous employment history to meet site access requirements.

The Role as a CPCS Slinger / Banksman:

* Directing and guiding crane and lifting operations safely on site

* Attaching and detaching loads using appropriate lifting accessories

* Ensuring all lifting activities are carried out in line with lift plans and site procedures

* Communicating clearly with crane operators using hand signals and radios

* Carrying out pre-use checks on lifting equipment and reporting any defects

* Maintaining exclusion zones and ensuring site safety during lifting operations

* Assisting with general site duties when required

* Working closely with site management and other trades to coordinate lifts

* Adhering strictly to Health & Safety regulations at all times

Requirements as a CPCS Slinger / Banksman:

* Valid CPCS Slinger / Signaller (A40) card (essential)

* Proven experience working as a Slinger / Banksman on construction sites

* Minimum 3 years’ continuous employment history (essential for site clearance)

* Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety procedures

* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

* Reliable, safety-conscious, and proactive
