About the Company

We are working with a well-established Mechanical & Electrical (MEP) contracting company based in South Wales, delivering high-quality design, installation, and maintenance of MEP services to commercial and industrial clients across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their dynamic estimating team.

Position Summary: –

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious estimator to work within a busy Mechanical department and contribute to large-scale projects ranging from £100k to £10M. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for Mechanical installations. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their estimating career with an experienced and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities: –

· Assist in producing estimates for Mechanical installations for projects between £100k and £10M.

· Use pricing and quoting software to generate accurate costings.

· Analyse drawings, specifications, and briefs to identify materials, labour, and cost requirements.

· Review Mechanical requirements from residential, commercial, and industrial building plans.

· Evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate for best pricing, and build cost breakdowns.

· Maintain and update a cost database to streamline future estimates.

· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure estimates are aligned with project scope and budget.

Requirements: –

· Previous experience in Mechanical Building Services is essential.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic IT systems.

· Strong numerical and analytical skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced contracting environment.
