Mechanical Project Manager
Overview
We are working with a reputable, busy Mechanical & Electrical contractor, delivering high-quality design, installation, and maintenance services across commercial and industrial projects throughout the UK. The business is well established, with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for high staff retention and a collaborative team environment.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their delivery team.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion, working on schemes typically ranging from £100k to £10M.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing mechanical projects from inception to completion
* Overseeing site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme and cost targets
* Driving health, safety, and quality across all project activities
* Managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost control
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams
* Coordinating design, procurement, and installation phases
* Monitoring progress and providing regular project reports
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within Building Services
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical installations
* Experience delivering commercial and/or industrial projects
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
