Regional MEP Small Works Manager

McTaggart Thomas & Associates

I’m working with a building services contractor seeking to appoint a Mechanically biased Small Works Manager. This is a regional role covering the South West including Bristol, South Wales, the M4 corridor, Swindon into Oxfordshire, and reaching into the Midlands.

This is a key leadership role within an established small works division, with a divisional turnover approaching £2m and a strong platform to grow.

Typical projects range from £50k to £500k across end-user estates and live environments.

The role will involve:
• Managing and developing a portfolio of small works and refurb projects including P&L
• Overseeing mechanical works including boiler replacements, heating upgrades and transitions to heat pumps
• Coordinating associated electrical works alongside the in-house electrical capability
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining and developing relationships
• Managing stakeholder expectations across the portfolio
• Driving delivery across programme, quality and commercial performance

This would suit someone who:
• Comes from a mechanical building services / FM background
• Has proven experience within small works, FM and refurbishment works
• Is experienced in PPM (planned preventative maintenance)
• Has the ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships at one time
• Is confident in client-facing and stakeholder management
• Has the ability to develop and grow an existing portfolio profitably
• Trades background would be advantageous but not essential

In return this company is offering career progression and performace related bonus in line with divisional growth objectives.
