One of the UK’s leading Property and Infrastructure Consultancies is looking to recruit an Associate Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major Power & Energy sector projects across London.

My client is one of the most respected consultancies in the UK, with a strong network of offices both nationwide and overseas. They have built an outstanding reputation in the market and are currently involved in some of London’s most high-profile power and energy developments.

These projects include energy infrastructure, substations, renewable energy schemes, grid upgrades, and major capital delivery programmes for both public and private sector clients.

THE POSITION

This role is for an Associate Quantity Surveyor who will take a leadership role in the commercial management of major Power & Energy sector projects from pre-contract through to completion and final account.

The successful candidate will oversee key commercial activities including cost planning, procurement strategy, contract administration, risk management, and financial reporting. You will provide strategic input across projects, manage key client relationships, and lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.

At Associate level, you will also play a significant role in business development, helping to win new work, grow existing client accounts, and contribute to the overall growth of the Power & Energy sector within the London business. You will also support, mentor, and develop junior team members.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Associate Quantity Surveyor will:

Hold a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and be Chartered (MRICS or equivalent)

Have experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level or above within a consultancy or contractor environment

Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering infrastructure or Power & Energy projects

Be confident managing projects from pre-contract through to final account

Possess strong leadership, commercial acumen, and client-facing skills

Have experience contributing to business development and team leadership
