Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor (main contractor)

£ negotiable (depending on experience)

A growing main contractor with a turnover of circa £60 million is looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to add to their growing East Anglia operation and bolster their operations throughout East Anglia.  Projects include local authority, education, care and heritage new build and refurbishment schemes from £5-15m and procured through Design & Build and Traditional contracts.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Director, your main responsibilities will include:

Managing the commercial performance of a larger scheme or up to 2 smaller projects to protect and improve margin

Preparing procurement schedules aligned with key milestones

Procuring and managing subcontract packages, materials, and plant

Negotiating and agreeing variations with subcontractors and clients

Preparing cash flow forecasts and cost reporting

Producing monthly commercial reports and management presentations

About You

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction or refurbishment

Strong commercial, negotiation, and reporting skills

HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
