We are a well-established consulting engineering practice based in Exeter, working across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the South West. Our workload spans sustainable new-build design, timber structures, and the conservation and adaptation of historic and vernacular buildings, including cob construction.

Due to continued demand, we are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. This role offers genuine variety, technical challenge, and the opportunity to work on meaningful projects in a region known for its outstanding natural environment.

The Role:
You will be involved in the design and delivery of a wide range of building structures, contributing both technically and commercially within a collaborative practice.

Essential Requirements:

Degree qualified (BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering

*

Minimum 4 years’ experience in structural design

*

Strong understanding of structural behaviour and materials

*

Creative and practical problem-solving ability

Desirable Skills & Experience:

*

Chartered status or working towards chartership

*

Experience carrying out site surveys and producing reports

*

Knowledge of structural timber design

*

Ability to prepare fee proposals and respond to enquiries

*

Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to sketch by hand

*

Interest in historic buildings and conservation

*

Passion for sustainable and energy-efficient design
