Site Manager
About the Role
Due to continued growth and new contract wins, an experienced Site Manager is required to oversee multiple large-scale passive fire protection (PFP) projects valued between £2m–£4m.
You will take full ownership of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Working closely with senior management, you will lead site teams and subcontractors while acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of fire safety systems, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple PFP projects from start to completion
*
Oversee installation of fire doors, fire stopping, compartmentation, and containment systems
*
Supervise direct labour and subcontractors on site
*
Ensure all works meet fire safety regulations and industry standards
*
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and overall performance
*
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety/quality checks
*
Maintain accurate records, reports, and photographic evidence using digital tools
*
Liaise with clients, residents, and internal teams in live environments (including social housing)
*
Implement and manage quality assurance processes (PQP, ITP)
*
Ensure full compliance with standards such as BS EN 1634, BS 8214, and BS 9999
*
Track defects and ensure timely resolution
*
Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager within fire protection, construction, or fire & security
*
Strong knowledge of fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation
*
Experience delivering large-scale projects (£2m–£4m)
*
Good understanding of fire regulations and FRA requirements
*
Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets
*
Competent with IT systems and digital reporting tools
*
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
*
Experience within the social housing sector
*
Carpentry background, ideally with fire door installation experience
*
Relevant PFP or trade qualifications
