A growing and forward-thinking Building Services Design Consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Birmingham office. Specialising in Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Building Physics design, the business delivers low-carbon, high-performance solutions across a range of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and custodial projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a newly established Birmingham team while being backed by an established national consultancy. You’ll support junior engineers, lead project delivery, and help shape the future of a dynamic, sustainability-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead mechanical design across multiple project sectors

* Deliver efficient HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems

* Mentor and support junior team members

* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes

* Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions

* Manage quality control and design documentation

What we’re looking for

* Strong experience in Mechanical Building Services Design

* Project background in commercial, education, healthcare, or custodial sectors

* Excellent communication and leadership skills

* Proficient in AutoCAD (experience with Revit is a bonus)

* Full UK driving licence

* Chartership or working towards it (desirable)
