Design Manager

Time Appointments are excited to be working with a huge, well-established Construction firm based in Ipswich who are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join their pre-construction team. You will work closely with and report to their experiences Pre-Construction Manager.

Key Duties:

* Manage the design process during the tender stage.

* Understand design briefs.

* Chair design development meetings during the tender process.

* Ensure designers appointments are completed in accordance with procedures.

* Attend risk meetings.

* Produce and monitor a design procurement schedule.

* Manage the progress of design issues within a strict timescale and ensure designers meet information delivery dates.

Previous Skills & Experience:

* A background within design (architectural or engineering) and/or construction project management is essential.

* Knowledge of construction techniques and design standards.

* Self-motivated.

* Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
