About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our client's successful and expanding House Building Division. This leadership position is key to ensuring the smooth delivery of multiple residential developments, maintaining exceptional build quality while driving projects to meet programme and budget targets.
You will take responsibility for overseeing both timber frame and traditional build housing schemes, typically ranging from 100+ units. This role requires a confident communicator with strong commercial insight, effective team leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving across dynamic site environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple residential projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to agreed specifications.
Manage project teams including Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, and external consultants.
Oversee and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, health & safety legislation, and quality standards.
Demonstrate working knowledge of technical sign‑offs such as S38 / S104 / S106.
Maintain control over programme, cost, and quality across all live sites.
Chair progress meetings and build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Produce accurate performance and milestone reports for senior leadership.
Promote continuous improvement and the adoption of best practice across all sites.
Mentor and support Site Managers in their professional development.Skills & Experience Required
Strong understanding of both timber frame and traditional build construction methods.
Proven track record managing medium to large‑scale residential developments.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
Commercially aware with a solid understanding of procurement, budgets, and contract administration.
Experience using project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) is desirable.
Full UK Driving Licence.What We Offer
