Quantity Surveyor – M&E / Building Services
Cambridge (Projects across East Anglia)
£70,000 – £85,000 + package
We are currently working with a well-established Tier 1 M&E contractor delivering a strong pipeline of major projects (£30m+) across East Anglia. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery across key schemes.
This role will be primarily based in Cambridge, with involvement across projects in Norfolk and Suffolk, including works on high-profile developments such as Sizewell.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale M&E packages, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and maximising profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the commercial delivery of M&E packages on major projects
Preparing and reviewing cost plans, valuations, and final accounts
Supporting procurement and subcontractor management
Monitoring project costs, variations, and financial performance
Working closely with project teams and clients to ensure commercial success
Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
Supporting reporting and forecasting across multiple projects
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
Experience in M&E / Building Services (preferred but not essential)
Open to candidates from a main contractor or general build background looking to move into M&E
Experience working on large-scale or high-value projects
Strong understanding of contracts and commercial processes
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
