About the Role

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of electrical projects across the UK. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from initial design through to final handover and defect resolution, ensuring all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery: Manage projects from pre-contract stage through to completion, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and building regulations (including BS EN 12101 where applicable).

Team Leadership: Lead, support, and mentor electrical engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on-site to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.

Commercial & Project Control: Oversee project financial performance, including procurement, cost control, variation management, and profitability reporting.

Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, chairing progress meetings, managing expectations, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

Documentation & Compliance: Ensure the accurate completion and handover of all project documentation, including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and testing and commissioning records.

Health & Safety: Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key Requirements

*

Experience: Proven track record as an Electrical Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within the M&E sector.

*

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical installations, ideally with experience in smoke control and/or fire safety systems.

*

Qualifications: Recognised electrical engineering qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent).

*

Skills: Excellent leadership, organisational, communication, and commercial awareness skills.

*

Other Requirements: Full UK or ROI driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
