Senior Vertical Transportation Engineer
£45,000 – £60,000 | Birmingham (Hybrid)

A growing multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking for a Senior Vertical Transportation Engineer to join their expanding VT team. This is a leadership role offering the opportunity to work on prestigious projects including high-rise residential schemes, alongside experienced engineers in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

* Lead lift and vertical transport design across a variety of buildings

* Undertake traffic analysis, sizing, and specification of lifts and escalators

* Carry out surveys and produce reports on existing installations

* Prepare drawings, schedules, specifications, and other project documentation

* Collaborate with MEP teams, architects, and clients throughout project stages

* Attend design reviews, progress meetings, and witness commissioning

* Opportunity to grow into business development and team leadership roles

Requirements

* Degree, HNC, or equivalent in engineering or related discipline

* Proven experience in vertical transportation design, ideally consultancy or lift contracting

* Competent in lift traffic analysis, calculations, and relevant engineering software

* Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders

* Experience with Revit advantageous but not essential
