Commercial & Operations Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager (or Commercial & Operations Manager) for a growing construction business and thought this might be of interest.
The role requires a strong construction background (ideally tarmac, surfacing, or groundworks) along with a relevant degree (Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar).

This is an initial 4-6 month fixed term contract with potential to go permanent, offering £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience. Hours are 07:00-16:00, Monday to Friday, office-based with site visits.

The role focuses on improving commercial performance, including:

* Managing job profitability and margins
* Challenging site costs (labour/materials)
* Identifying and reducing losses
* Implementing clear reporting and accountability

This isn't a site management role – it's about commercial control. We're looking for someone confident, commercially sharp, and comfortable challenging teams.
