Construction Estimator sought, Plymouth. A leading Tier 1 national contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Construction Estimator to join their growing commercial team based in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering high-profile projects across the Southwest within the public and private sectors.

* The Role
As Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the delivery of competitive tenders for a wide range of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed cost estimates from first principles

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

* Obtain and review subcontractor and supplier quotations

* Work closely with commercial, planning, and design teams

* Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options

* Assist in preparing tender submissions and presentations

Requirements

* Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry

* Experience working for a main contractor (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferred)

* Strong knowledge of building / civil engineering projects

* Excellent numerical and analytical skills

* Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

* Relevant construction qualification (HNC / HND / Degree preferred)
