💰 £25,000 – £40,000 per year (DOE)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Utility Surveyor or Trainee Utility Surveyor to join a well-established surveying business operating across Devon and Cornwall.
Working on a diverse range of projects-from major infrastructure schemes to domestic sites-you'll gain exposure to a variety of environments and the latest surveying technology, including GPR, CAT & Genny, CCTV, GNSS, robotic total stations, laser scanners, and UAVs.
This role involves a mix of site-based and office-based work, and a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out utility surveys
Undertaking topographic surveys
Processing data and producing drawings
Conducting CCTV surveys
About You
We're looking for someone with a practical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across different environments.
Ideally, you will have:
2+ years' UK experience in topographic and/or utility/CCTV surveys (for experienced applicants)
Degree or HNC/D qualification (preferred)
Experience using Leica or Trimble survey equipment
Knowledge of CAT & Genny, GPR, and CCTV survey methods
Experience with AutoCAD and/or ArcGISFor trainees:
Good GCSEs and relevant A Levels or T Levels (including Maths & English)
A genuine interest in surveying or engineering
