Our privately owned client is a leading name within the enabling works industry that prides itself on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to programme, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality. They are a professional, technically minded and modern outfit who have proven success in operating primarily as the principal contractor on their projects throughout the UK. Much of their work is secured due to repeat business, and package values range up to £20M. As a multifaceted contractor, their core areas of expertise include demolition, dismantling, temporary works, façade retention, structural alterations and substructure packages, and they are part of a larger business which turns over in excess of £130M.
About the opportunity:
Due to continued company expansion, my client is recruiting permanently for a Project Manager who has proven experience in delivering demolition and enabling works projects.
As a Project Manager, you will join the company’s existing management team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the on-site management of the project initially based in Glasgow, ensuring it is managed within time and budget. You will have direct responsibility for all site staff, ensuring they are motivated and able to complete the task at hand. As a Project Manager, you will have a clear understanding of the value of the contract and its duration, have a clear understanding of the client, project expectations and requirements and you’ll play a key role within their senior management team.
About the benefits and rewards:
For this opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £65,000 – £75,000 per annum or £280 – £330 per day (CIS/Ltd); however, specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.
About the requirements:
For this opportunity, only professionals who hold a solid background in Demolition / General Enabling Works (demolition, substructure and superstructure) will be considered.
Whilst the initial project you will manage is in Glasgow, this company works UK-wide, so you must be willing to travel and work away from home (subsistence will be covered).
Regarding software, this client uses the usual Microsoft programmes, standard email functions and Asta Power Project for planning / programming works. Project Managers will be required to use all these tools.
