Full Job Description Who We’re Looking For We’re looking to connect with experienced Flood Risk and Drainage professionals who thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and enjoy playing a key role in guiding development projects through the planning process.
What matters is that you bring a relevant degree alongside solid industry experience, with a strong grasp of Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategy and design, and how these integrate within the wider planning and development process.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes pride in their work — curious, proactive, and motivated to keep learning and progressing.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding position where you’ll take ownership of flood risk and drainage inputs across a wide range of development projects. You’ll be supported by senior colleagues while working as part of a wider team of civil engineers, transport planners, and technicians.
You’ll collaborate closely across disciplines, contributing to well-coordinated, practical, and commercially aware solutions that meet project programmes and budgets.
Projects include:
Large-scale mixed-use urban extensions across Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset
City-centre regeneration schemes in Exeter, Plymouth, and Bristol
Strategic employment land and major development sites
Leisure, tourism, and destination-led developments
Renewable energy and battery storage projects
Retirement living developments across the UK
