The Opportunity

A highly regarded property and construction consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its Exeter office.

The Role

As a Building Surveyor, you’ll be involved in a wide range of projects across sectors including education, commercial, retail, and care. You’ll support both professional surveying services and the delivery of refurbishment and improvement schemes.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering core building surveying services across a variety of projects
Supporting and managing refurbishment and upgrade works
Preparing technical reports, specifications, and schedules of work
Assisting with contract administration and project management responsibilities
Liaising closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams
Producing and reviewing technical drawings using CAD
Contributing to projects that deliver meaningful, positive outcomes The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a motivated and capable Building Surveyor who can demonstrate:

A degree in Building Surveying or a closely related discipline
Previous experience within a building surveying role
Strong technical understanding of building fabric and refurbishment projects
Proficiency in CAD (essential)
Revit experience (desirable, not essential)
Good communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
A proactive mindset and commitment to ongoing professional development Chartership is not essential, but full support will be provided for those looking to achieve it.
