A multidisciplinary construction consultancy is seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join its London office. This Building Surveyor role sits within an established Building Surveying team, offering exposure across housing, education, commercial, care and health sectors. The Building Surveyor will support project delivery while developing core Building Surveyor skills within a consultancy environment.

The successful Building Surveyor will be joining a long-established consultancy operating across multiple UK offices. The business delivers architecture, building surveying, quantity surveying, project management, engineering and sustainability services. This Assistant Building Surveyor role supports continued growth across key public and private sector frameworks.

The Role

As the Building Surveyor, you will work alongside senior surveyors and project teams, supporting delivery across a range of property and construction instructions. The role includes involvement in energy efficiency and retrofit projects alongside traditional surveying services.

The role will include:

Assisting with delivery of housing, education, commercial, care and healthcare projects

Undertaking building and condition surveys

Supporting retrofit, energy efficiency and sustainability-led instructions

Assisting with specifications, reports and technical documentation

Supporting contract administration and project delivery

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams across the consultancy

The Assistant Building Surveyor?

You will be a motivated and career-focused Assistant Building Surveyor with a construction-related background. Applications from non-construction related surveying disciplines will not be considered.

The Assistant Building Surveyor must have:

A degree in Building Surveying or a related construction or property discipline

1-2 years' post-graduate experience

Commitment to professional development and working towards APC

Experience supporting surveying or project instructions within the UK market

Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

£40,000 – £45,000
