Senior Quantity Surveyor

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR | MAIN CONTRACTOR | LINCOLN

We’re working with a well-established main contractor based in Lincoln who is looking to bring an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor into the team.

This is a key hire for the business, reporting directly into the Commercial Director and working alongside an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on a range of projects typically valued up to £15m. The company operates across multiple sectors including education, commercial, residential and healthcare, offering a good mix of work without being overly niche.

They’ve built a strong reputation locally, with a consistent pipeline of projects and long-standing client relationships. It’s a stable environment with low staff turnover, where people tend to stay and build their careers.

The role will suit someone confident in leading the commercial function on projects from pre-construction through to final account, while also supporting and mentoring junior team members. You’ll be given a good level of autonomy but with the backing of an experienced leadership team.

Key responsibilities:

* Managing all commercial aspects of projects from start to finish

* Cost planning, procurement and subcontractor management

* Valuations, variations and final accounts

* Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget

* Supporting and developing an Assistant Quantity Surveyor

* Ability to manage multiple projects or larger schemes independently
