Noble Recruiting are currently seeking a a passionate Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a professional and well-established client of ours in Wickford, Essex.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with procurement of subcontractor packages, including enquiries, analysis, and order placement.

* Support the commercial management of subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.

* Preparation of interim valuations/applications for payment.

* Pricing of variations (both upstream and downstream).

* Assist in the preparation of CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and ongoing cost reporting.

* Support cash flow forecasting and cost to complete reporting.

* Assist with compiling notices of delay and associated loss & expense (including prolongation costs).

* Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.

* Attend site meetings and liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants.

* Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing commercial risk and project performance.

Person Specifications:

* Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is desirable (or working towards).

* Previous experience in a contractor environment (Assistant or Project QS level).

* Ideally experience working on healthcare projects or similar complex live environments.

* Experience working on projects of a similar scale is essential (c. £5m–£10m+).

* Good understanding of commercial processes, procurement, and construction contracts.

* Strong numerical and analytical skills.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.

* Good communication and organisational skills.

* Full UK driving licence (preferred).
