Overview

A high‑quality refurbishment and fit out contractor, recognised for delivering complex commercial projects across London, is seeking an exceptional Senior Project Manager to lead a flagship £120m redevelopment scheme. The business is experiencing sustained growth and is now taking on larger, more technically challenging schemes, making this a pivotal leadership role within the organisation.

The project includes a £50m CAT A fit out, extensive demolition, and façade works, delivered over a 4‑year programme. You will oversee the entire fit out across 10 floors, managing a team of up to 10 Managers, who will be in teams responsible for 2-3 floors depending on complexity.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of the CAT A fit out phase. You will work closely with the Project Director and senior leadership team to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full CAT A fit out delivery across 10 floors of commercial space.

Manage and mentor a team of up to 10 managers overseeing multi‑floor sections.

Coordinate demolition, façade interface, and structural integration works.

Drive programme performance and ensure key milestones are achieved.

Maintain strict control of quality, safety, and compliance.

Act as the primary point of contact for client teams, consultants, and stakeholders.

Oversee procurement, subcontractor performance, and package integration.

Lead progress meetings, reporting, and senior‑level decision‑making.

Ensure seamless coordination between trades, logistics, and building operations.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

Minimum 15 years' construction experience, with at least 10 years in project management.

Proven track record delivering major commercial fit out projects (£30m+).

Experience managing multi‑floor, multi‑manager delivery structures.

Strong background in CAT A fit out, demolition, and façade coordination.

Demonstrable ability to lead large teams on complex, high‑value schemes.

Excellent communication, leadership, and client‑facing skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.

Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Professional accreditation (MCIOB or similar) beneficial.
